Product details

Inconel X750 wire Inconel X750 wire is a high-strength, nickel-chromium alloy known for its excellent corrosion and high-temperature resistance. It's often used in demanding applications like aerospace components, gas turbines, and nuclear reactors, where it provides reliable performance in extreme environments. The economics of INCONEL alloy X-750 coupled with its availability in all standard mill forms has resulted in applications in a wide variety of industrial fields. In gas turbines, it is used for rotor blades and wheels, bolts, and other structural members. INCONEL alloy X-750 is used extensively in rocket-engine thrust chambers. Airframe applications include thrust reversers and hot-air ducting systems. Large pressure vessels are formed from INCONEL alloy X-750. Other applications are heat-treating fixtures, forming tools, extrusion dies, and test machine grips. For springs and fasteners, INCONEL alloy X-750 is used from sub-zero to 1200°F. Nominal Composition Ni: 70.0 min Cr: 14.0 – 17.0 Fe: 5.0 – 9.0 Ti: 2.25 – 2.75 Al: 0.40 – 1.0 Cb (Nb): 0.70 – 1.20 Mn: 1.0 Si: 0.50 max C: 0.08 max S: 0.01 max Cu: 0.5 max Physical Properties Density: 0.299 lb/in3, (8.28 g/cm3) Modulus of Elasticity (E): At 70°F (20°C): 31.0 x 106 psi (214 GPa) At 1000°F (538°C): 26.7 x 106 psi (184 GPa) Modulus of Rigidity (G): At 70°F (20°C): 12.0 x 106 psi (82.7 GPa) Coefficient of Expansion: 7.8 µin/in.-°F (70°F to 1000°F) 14.5 µm/m-°C (20°C to 538°C) Electrical Resistivity: 20.1 µΩ.in, (122 µΩ.cm) Thermal Conductivity: 83 Btu-in/ft2hr-°F, (12.0 W/m-K) Specific examples of its use include: Engine Components: Turbine blades, exhaust systems, and other high-temperature parts in engines. Fasteners: Bolts, screws, and other fasteners that need to withstand high temperatures and corrosive environments. Nuclear Reactor Components: Control rod components and other parts requiring high strength and corrosion resistance. Automotive Exhaust Systems: High-performance exhaust systems where extreme heat and corrosion are factors. Key characteristics and uses of INCONEL X750 wire: High Strength and Temperature Resistance: It maintains its strength at high temperatures, making it ideal for components in gas turbines, jet engines, and other high-temperature applications. Corrosion Resistance: Provides excellent resistance to various corrosive environments, including those found in aerospace and chemical processing industries.
